The Lascar SP 5-GFX-1 is a splash-proof ultra low profile LCD graphics display, featuring a 128 x 64 pixel LCD display with LED backlighting. The display plugs directly into a 10-way SIL socket and can be panel mounted via a provided fixing clip. Splash proof protection is achieved using a fitting seal, also supplied with the unit.

The display has a 6 o'clock viewing direction, with yellow-green LED backlighting, based on the Sunplus SPLC 501C controller (please refer to this external datasheet for more information). LED backlighting ensures excellent visibility under low light conditions, and the bezel, fixing clip and rubber seal provided allow for quick and easy installation. The module features a 10-pin single inline connector. This serial data interface ensures that the host microcontrollers can drive the display with a minimum of I/O lines.
