The Seneca VISUAL8 is a touchscreen operator panel with a 10" TFT LCD display, featuring IP65 environmental protection, easy customisability using the EasyBuilder software via USB, and RS232/485 communication output with support for both Modbus RTU and TCP-IP.

The screen is a 4-wire resistive touchscreen TFT display, with a screen resolution of 1024 x 600px, up 16 million colours, LED backlighting, and vertical/horizontal support.

A USB 2.0 port (host 2.0) at the bottom edge of the panel allows data to be easily transferred. 128MB of flash memory allows projects up to 16MB to be downloaded, as well as logs and sample data up to 48MB in size. In addition to this, an RS485/232 serial port and a RS232 serial port are included as standard. An additional Ethernet port 10/100BaseT serial port is also built-in. The VISUAL8 includes 128 MB of RAM and a 32-bit RISC Cortex A8 600 MHz processor with a built-in real time clock (RTC). Power is provided via a standard 24Vdc power supply.

The screen can be customised using the free Easy Builder Pro software; a development environment for building operator panels that supports: advanced support for user accounts (up to 14 access levels and 128 user accounts), support for temporary users through USB security key, support for user macro library, EasyWatch function helping remote monitoring and debugging, and a recipe database.

The Easy Builder Pro software also includes all features from the EasyBuilder 8000 software (used for VISUAL1 and VISUAl2), including: up to 8 different languages, supports Windows and Unicode fonts, includes text libraries with CSV file support, supports BMP, JPG, and GIF images, allows for 7 password levels, log events and alarms management, online simulation, and ethernet pass through function for PLC internet connected programming.
